<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">WINONA LAKE — When the </span><a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/WinonaLake/myTEAMTRIUMPH5K" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span data-preserver-spaces="true">My Team Triumph Firecracker 5K</span></a><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> kicks off Saturday morning in Winona Lake, it will mark the biggest turnout in its 12-year history.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">My Team Triumph races are open to anyone, but seek to provide an inclusive experience by pairing captains with disabilities with other runners who serve as pushers.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">This year, more than 150 people pre-registered, and another 20 will likely sign up on the day of the event.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">They’ll be joined by about 20 captains</span><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> as they make their way through the Heritage Trail System, which is all paved.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Barb Martz, who works as a special education teacher, is president of My Team Triumph of Northern Indiana, which does about a dozen races a year. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">“We just want to show everybody how you can do it no matter what,” Martz said recently. “And if you can't, that's what we're here for. We're here to help you.”</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Saturday's race is a major fundraiser for the group. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">“It's really cool they just love us </span><span data-preserver-spaces="true">and</span><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> they support us </span><span data-preserver-spaces="true">and</span><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> they sponsor us,” she said.</span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The race begins at 9 a.m. near the Winona Lake Limitless Park, and registration will remain open </span><span data-preserver-spaces="true">before the start</span><span data-preserver-spaces="true">.</span></p>
