It's another step forward for legislation sponsored by Senator Joe Donnelly that he says would improve our nation’s workforce development system and help put Hoosiers back to work. The Senate passed The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. It would make much-needed changes to modernize workforce development and job training programs, coast-to-coast, and includes part of Donnelly’s AMERICA Works Act. Donnelly says it's vital the bill now passes the House, as he says he's heard repeatedly from Indiana business owners and workers about the need to get more people qualified to take new jobs using the latest technology in the office and on the manufacturing lines.
