When the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings take the basketball court in November, they will be playing in a newly-painted gymnasium that bares the name of a legend. Valley administrators unveiled the newly-named Rita Price Simpson Court yesterday, and new principal Brandon Kreska explained that former Viking girls basketball players Anne Sechrist and Meredith Brouyette were the driving force behind the idea.A formal ceremony to dedicate the court in Rita’s honor will be held at the season-opening boys’ basketball game against Warsaw November 27.
