WARSAW — Five events are happening in the upcoming days, with the first one on Friday night.
Family Carnival Friday
Warsaw Parks will host its annual Family Carnival from 6 to 9 p.m. at Central Park.
The event includes lots of rides and ticketed activities, plus food, a photo booth, and inflatables.
A magic show is set for two performances, 7 and 8 p.m.
Admission is free, but it’s a cash-only event. Single tickets are 25 cents and wristbands are sold for $10.
AWL Birthday Bash Saturday
The Animal Welfare League is hosting its 3rd annual Birthday Bash celebration at the Shelter Campus Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
The event will feature birthday cake, ice cream, face painting, bake sale,
craft vendors, and lots of shelter pets to love on,” said AWL Adoption Tech Niki Sedlacek
The shelter is once again overcrowded, and many adoption fees have been reduced.
The shelter is located at 1048 S. 325 E., Pierceton just south of US 30.
Winona Lake Family Fest Saturday
Winona Lake Limitless Park will host its Family Fest on Saturday at Miller Sunset Pavilion.
Fun and games are from 3 to 6 p.m., and dinner is at 5 p.m.
Back-to-school cookout Monday
Winona Lake Police Chief will once again host his back-to-school cookout on Monday at Miller Sunset Pavilion in Winona Lake
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Paddle boarding Monday at Pike Lake
Paddle boarding and canoes will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday for a relaxing adventure on Pike Lake.
While registration isn’t required, each participant, or a parent/guardian for those under 18, must sign an annual waiver and rules acknowledgment. One waiver is needed per participant each year.
Please note, anyone under the age of 16 must have an adult accompany them in the
water.
All necessary equipment, including life vests, will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment usage is limited to designated time slots, and safety briefings will be given to all participants before they get started. Our staff will be on hand to supervise all activities for your safety.
