TUESDAY COVID UPDATE: State cases top 5,500, 34 more deaths reported

The Indiana State Department of Health reported in their Tuesday morning update that 34 more deaths have been reported from COVID-19 and the number of positive cases went past 5,500.

563 more positive cases were part of the 10 AM update, bringing the state total to 5,507.

Indianapolis/Marion County continue to have the highest case county in the state at 2,141, followed by Lake County at 418 and Hamilton County at 363.

Locally, Kosciusko County had no additional cases reported, keeping the county total at 14. Elkhart County reported seven additional cases and have 43 total cases. Marshall and Wabash County have two additional cases, bringing their total cases ten and five, respectively.

One additional case was reported in Noble County, bringing the total there up to eleven.

Fulton (3) and Whitley (8) County had no new cases.
