Two Arrested On Meth Charges In Silver Lake

KCSD Press Release – Kosciusko County officers arrested two individuals last night in Silver Lake on drug charges after discovering a meth lab at the residence.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous tip yesterday evening regarding the potential location of an active warrant suspect.  Sheriff Deputies responded shortly before 6 p.m. at the location of 6560 W. McClure Drive, Silver Lake, and were met at the front door by Ashton Phillip Krider, 21.  Krider was immediately taken into custody on a felony warrant for failure to appear regarding a probation violation.  During the course of the arrest, officers denoted the strong odor commonly associated with the production of methamphetamine.  Officers located items associated with meth production at the residence, along with finished methamphetamine hidden inside a kitchen oven.  Krider was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and preliminarily charged with felony manufacturing of methamphetamine, along with the outstanding Kosciusko County warrant, no bond.
Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit and Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers also located a second individual at the residence identified as Cheynne Pauline Miller, 23, Silver Lake.  Miller was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony possession of methamphetamine as well as visiting a common nuisance.  She is currently being held on a $2,000 bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
The Warsaw Police Narcotics Unit and Kosciusko County D.T.F. were also assisted at the scene by the Silver Lake Police Department, Indiana State Police Meth Lab Team, and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office & Sheriff’s Department.
