Two Dozen Traffic Stops Made on First Day of School

Police stepped up extra presence in school zones on Tuesday as Warsaw students returned to school.

Warsaw school officials said that 25 traffic stops were made by police within school zones throughout the first day of school. They are asking drivers to slow down within the zones and obey the traffic laws, along with when drivers are near school bus stops.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies also assisted in stepping up enforcement in Warsaw and other school zones throughout the county. Extra presence will also be in the Wawasee school district today as they take in their first day.
