Unemployment Rate In Indiana Down From Last Month

There was no job growth in Indiana last month, but the unemployment rate still went down. The Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment for the month of March was 5.8 percent, a drop of a tenth of a point from February‘s rate. The rate fell slightly even though the state lost 800 private sector jobs during the month, mainly due to a drop in the Professional and Business Services sector. The national unemployment rate in March was 5.5-percent.
