Update: Victims’ Names Released From Yesterday’s Crash

KCSD Press Release – Kosciusko County officers are currently investigating a single vehicular crash that left one man critical yesterday afternoon, south of Leesburg.  

Kosciusko Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 4:15 p.m. 911 call of a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Deer Run Drive and County Road 100 East yesterday afternoon.  Upon arrival, police and emergency personnel located the passenger, identified as Tyler Boocher, 20, Leesburg, in critical condition suffering from a head injury.  Boocher was airlifted from the scene and transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wane, in critical conditional.
The driver, identified as David Lindley, 21, Leesburg, had minor injuries and was subsequently transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. / crash investigators determined during the initial investigation that Linley was northbound on County Road 100 E. and, for an unknown reason, left the west side of the roadway striking two utility poles.  Boocher was ejected from the vehicle. 
The crash still remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. Team. Also assisting at the scene was Multi-Township E.M.S., Leesburg/Plain Township Fire Department, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
