Upgrades are coming to the Elkhart County Jail in an effort to reduce wait times for visitations. More advanced video technology will be put in place. Visitors will be able to use video chatting with inmates from any location that has internet access, instead of having to go to the jail for visits. The new system will also let people go online to schedule visits to the jail, 24 hours in advance. So, there won't be a need for them to wait in line in the jail lobby to register.
