Victory Hotel Stabbing Suspect May Change Plea In January

A man charged with attempted murder in a stabbing at the Victory Hotel earlier this year might change his plea next month.

Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed scheduled Jan. 17 at 10:30 a.m for a change of plea of hearing.

Randel Manley, 51, was charged with attempted murder, a level one felony, after police alleged he stabbed his neighbor just before 3 a.m. on Oct. 23 at the hotel on Jefferson Street in downtown Warsaw.

As is standard procedure, a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf shortly after the incident.

The police found Mitchell Robinson, 30, Warsaw, unresponsive with cuts to his stomach and neck. Robinson was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital and then flown to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, according to news release from the Warsaw Police Department.
Robinson, has since been released from the hospital.

Manley was arrested after police found him with blood on his clothes and a box cutter nearby. HeĀ is being held in Kosciusko County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
