Volunteers Needed For Groundwater Assessment

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is looking for people who want to have their well water tested. The agency still needs a few hundred volunteers to reach the desired geographic coverage for its 2014 groundwater assessment survey.  Using data collected, the department will be able to analyze water quality in the state.  The goal is to evaluate the groundwater in different regions based on factors such as geology, land use, and depth of water and of wells.
