Wabash Golf Benefit for Whites Residential and Family Services

On Monday June 15th, area golfers will come together at Etna Acres Golf Course for the benefit of the young people served in White’s Residential & Family Services continuum of care. The golfers and area businesses have teamed up to try and raise $20,000 to help offset the cost for club events and other extracurricular activities on our campuses and in White’s Foster Homes.

White’s Residential & Family Services is committed to enriching the lives of children, teens and families in crisis through emotional healing, personal development and spiritual growth. They work with teens dealing with a variety of obstacles. These young people have not had opportunities to participate in the sports, athletic camps or extra-curricular activities that are available to most. Students in the Residential and Foster Care Programs need extracurricular experiences that help them build self-esteem as well as learn life lessons, which may have been impossible for them before coming to White’s.

“The participation of golfers and area businesses is evidence of how successful our efforts can be when we work together to provide these deserving teens with opportunities to experience activities they have not had before coming to White’s,” said Dee Gibson, CEO of White’s Residential and Family Services, Inc.

There is still time to sign up to play and sponsor this event. Contact Dana Brady, Director of Development, at 260-563-1158 or dana.brady@whitesrfs.org for more information.
