Walgreens to Sell Heroine OD Reversal Without Prescription

Walgreens will begin selling a medication used to reverse heroin overdoses, without the need for a prescription. The company says stores in 35 states, including Indiana and Washington, D.C. will offer over-the-counter naloxone–also known as Narcan. Walgreens says it will cost $78 for people without insurance through their Prescription Savings Club. Walgreens will also install kiosks were people can safely dispose of their unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs.
