A warrant was served Wednesday for the arrest of a man who allegedly battered a police officer while intoxicated early last month. 29 year old Brett Allen Bradley of Mentone, was arrested and charged with felony battery of a law enforcement officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. On Sept. 8, officers responded to a report of a possible physical confrontation. When officers arrived to the scene, they located Bradley and noticed he smelled of alcohol and had possibly overdosed on prescription medication. Bradley was administered a portable breath test and registered a .186 BAC. He was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital to be treated for a drug overdose. The affidavit stated Bradley became verbally abusive and belligerent while in the hospital room and struck a police officer in the chin while the officer attempted to calm him down. As a result, Bradley was placed in soft restraints to ensure his safety and the safety of the hospital staff. The warrant for Bradley’s arrest was issued Sept. 12. He was booked Wednesday into the Kosciusko County Jail and held on a $2,350 bond.
