The Warsaw City Council has approved a resolution again allowing a controlled deer hunt within certain areas of the city. Councilman Jeff Grose says the state has given the city approval to take deer determined to be in designated “nuisance areas” from September 15 through the end of January. Only specially trained and selected archers can participate in the special hunts, and the Times Union says those hunters who are chosen will be announced next week. If you feel like deer are a problem on your property within the Warsaw city limits, you can go online to the city’s website and download a form to petition to have your area included in the herd reduction.
