Warsaw Deer Task Force to offer training ahead of 2018 reduction effort

The Warsaw Deer Task Force is offering only one training before their 2018 reduction effort.

The training is mandatory for new and former archers wanting to participate this season.

It takes place at the Warsaw Police Department on Tuesday, August 21 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Those interested in the program will also need to fill out an application and forms, which can be found on the city website.

The Task Force was started after state and local officials determined deer overpopulation inside the city limits of Warsaw had become a public nuisance.

An official proposal from the Deer Task Force is expected to be brought before the Warsaw Common Council in early September.
