A Warsaw man is in custody after allegedly beating someone with a baseball bat.
52-year-old Alfred McDonald was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Tuesday for battery with a deadly weapon.
Court documents say McDonald was driving while intoxicated in October with two passengers in the vehicle. Initially all three told police that someone else was driving, but that was determined to be a lie.
McDonald was charged with driving while suspended and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Police later learned that McDonald had threatened to hurt the passengers if they didn’t tell police some else was driving.
One of the passengers told Warsaw Police that McDonald attacked him with a baseball bat in November. He was treated at the hospital for injuries.
