Warsaw men accused of fight, stabbing at campground

A Warsaw man is accused of being a back-stabber.

51-year-old Johnny Gomez is facing a slew of domestic battery charges for allegedly stabbing his son with a small knife as part of a fight.

18-year-old Joseph Gomez was also arrested on domestic battery charges. Warsaw Police say Joseph had hit his father in the face before the stabbing.

A witness told authorities she saw the two men fighting at a Warsaw campground in front of two children, according to court documents.

The Times-Union reports Joseph already has charges pending in Kosciusko County Superior Court II for battery resulting in bodily injury.

Johnny has a previous conviction for domestic battery in Kosciusko County in 2017. He also has a previous conviction for battery resulting in bodily injury in 2015, and convictions for battery in 2012 and 2010, according to court records.
