Warsaw police seek info on BB gun vandals

Staff Report

WARSAW — Warsaw Police are investigating multiple cases of criminal mischief involving car windows shot out or damaged by BB guns in Warsaw and surrounding areas.

According to a news release from WPD Sgt. Brad Kellar, their investigation shows cases as far south as North Manchester in Wabash County.

“We believe there may be more cases that either were not reported to law enforcement or not realized as of yet,” Kellar said.

Police believe most of the incidents happened between May 18 and May 24. It is possible that some may have thought damage occurred accidentally, but it is highly possible they are additional victims of this crime spree,” the news release said.

Investigators have several suspects connected to an estimated 20 cases already at this point.

WPD is asking that anyone with information call Central Dispatch at 574-372-9511.
