Warsaw Schools Releases Student Guidelines For Athletic Events

Warsaw Community High School Tiger Athletics is asking that all students attending a sporting event follow some basic guidelines.
Students should be seated during play in the proper seating area – either the WCHS students section on the north end, or the adjacent section designated for middle and elementary students. If these sections are full, there may be additional seating on the south end of the bleachers where it is labelled general admission.
Students may move to and from the restrooms and concessions area, and students may stand and chat in this area for a brief period. At no time should anyone, students or adults, throw items (footballs, bottles, rocks, etc.) inside the Tiger Athletic Complex. If asked to get into the seating section, students should move immediately to their respective section in the home side bleachers. Failure to comply with these expectations will result in the removal from the contest, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
Additionally, WCHS Athletics will have a ticket seller and a ticket scanner at the ticket booth through the completion of the contest.
Additionally, for the safety of guests and staff, WCHS Athletics will begin implementing a bag policy. Backpacks, coolers and oversized purses are prohibited, the release states. Small purses, diaper bags, equipment necessary for medical, professional or performance reasons are permitted, but all bags and belongings are subject to search.
Fans are also reminded that tailgating is allowed at WCHS athletic events. See the signs on campus for the special tailgating area, and ensure trash is picked up and thrown away following a tailgate. If choosing to tailgate, make sure no grills are placed on the asphalt area in the parking lot.
Admission to WCHS football games is $6 for students and adults. Students are reminded that the all-sports pass will allow admission to all regular-season WCHS and middle school athletic contest throughout the calendar year. Adult all-sports passes include all sports with the exception of boys basketball. Boys basketball ticket information will be coming soon.
