Zimmer Biomet is awarding a $150,000 grant to Warsaw Community Schools.

The money will go to furthering the school district’s STEM initiatives– STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math.

This isn’t the first time the orthopedic company has given grants to Warsaw Schools. The Times Union reports past grant dollars have provided solar eclipse glasses to students, Lego educational materials for curriculum development, and the annual elementary robotics showcase.

Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert thanked the company for its support, saying it shows a strong commitment to the community, its schools, and its students.
