Warsaw and Whitko Community Schools will be closed Tuesday so that teachers can participate in the statewide Call to Action for Education at the statehouse in Indianapolis.
A makeup day for Warsaw will be announced later, while Whitko Superintendent Dr. Brandon Penrod stated that the makeup day will be held February 17th.
Over 17 other school districts throughout the state also will be participating, with more announcing their participation as the date nears.
A news release from Warsaw Community Schools states that over 20% of certified teachers within WCS requested personal days to take part in the Call to Action. Whitko says it will be without nearly one-third of their teachers.
