LAWRENCE — Police are investigating after three people — inlcuding a woman from Warsaw — were killed in a shooting in Lawrence Friday evening.
Officers say they learned about a possible shooting at the Jamestowne apartment complex on Duxbury Lane around 7:20 p.m. That’s the area near 46th Street and Post Road.
Lawrence Police confirming the identities of the three victims as 19-year-old Aaliyah Wortman from Marion, 19-year-old Londyn Coleman of Warsaw and 27-year-old Spencer Lawson Jr. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
TV stations in Indianapolis report that Wortman and Coleman are related.
Officers think this may have been a targeted attack, but it is not quite clear what led to the shooting at this time.
“This is still a very active investigation,” noted Lawrence Deputy Police Chief Travis Cline.
