Warsaw woman arrested after trying to flee North Manchester Police

A Warsaw woman was arrested Wednesday on numerous drug-related charges by North Manchester Police after attempting to flee following a traffic stop.

At 3:38 p.m. Wednesday, North Manchester Police officer Parker Stouffer attempted to pull over a vehicle for driving left of center on Sunset Drive. The driver of the vehicle – identified as Amanda J. Shepherd, 39, Warsaw – continued driving to Ind. 13 where a passenger got out. While Stouffer was speaking to the passenger, Shepherd drove off on Ind. 13.

At CR 1425N, Shepherd failed to negotiate a curve and slid into a ditch.

The release states Shepherd was arrested for resisting law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine, possession of hypodermic needles, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, criminal recklessness, reckless driving, driving left of center, and on a warrant for petition to revoke probation for possession of methamphetamine.

Wabash County Sheriff’s Department assisted the NMPD.
