Warsaw Woman Charged With Drug Use On Property

Faith Ferguson, Warsaw, was arrested  Wednesday morning for maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent.
A common nuisance charge is when someone uses their property to unlawfully use, sell or deliver illegal substances.
While looking for a runaway male juvenile on Aug. 23, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department officer Shane Bucher went to Ferguson’s home. Ferguson, 39, of 3441 W. Warren Drive, spoke to Bucher outside of her apartment. According to the probable cause affidavit provided by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Bucher detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the apartment. Ferguson stated she was aware of the smell.
Inside the apartment, Bucher found two adult males and three juvenile females. One of the males brought out a plastic bag of marijuana and a used glass pipe. He advised that he brought the marijuana to the residence for everyone to smoke and that he was aware of the ages of the juveniles.
One of the juveniles also produced a bag of marijuana. The male juvenile was not at the residence.
Ferguson was booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $5,250 bond.
