Warsaw woman killed In US 30 accident near Pierceton

PIERCETON — One person is dead following an early morning accident Saturday near Pierceton.

The accident was reported at 5:33 a.m. Saturday after a white 2023 Nissan traveling east on U.S. 30 near Van Ness Road slammed into the back of a semi tractor-trailer, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

A passenger in the car, Amy R. Hall, 39, of Warsaw, died at the scene.

The driver of the car, Joshua E. Hall, 41, Warsaw, sustained a head injury and was taken to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.

The car sustained extensive front-end and passenger-side damage.

The truck was operated by Rodney T. White, 49, of Fort Wayne. He was uninjured. 

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Winona Lake Police Department, Pierceton Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
