Warsaw Zoners Approve Variance For Professional Office

Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals Monday approved a use variance to allow professional offices in a residential zoned district.
Rick Keeven, board member, made the motion, seconded by Tammy Dalton.
The variance was approved with the following conditions: the sign will not be lit; if the existing sign is replaced it must be at least 16 feet high; and the office must meet Center Street overlay conditions.
Petitioner Christopher McCrea requested the variance at 127 S. Lincoln St. to permit a professional office. The request is for John Kimple and Associates for a land surveyor’s office.
The existing structure is currently being used as a church. The property received a special exception for a day care and a parking lot has been installed.
