WEDNESDAY COVID UPDATE: Elkhart County reports second death, state sees 400 more positive cases

Elkhart County has reported their second coronavirus related death according to the daily update provided by the Indiana State Department of Health.

An additional 16 deaths were reported statewide, with Indianapolis/Marion County reporting the most in the state at 21, along with 1,117 positive COVID cases, which makes up 43.5% of the state’s positive cases.

Locally, Kosciusko County is reporting five positive cases. Teresa Reed from Kosciusko County Health Department has confirmed that the five cases in Kosciusko County is now correct, despite an error by the state on Tuesday. The error Tuesday was the state reporting five in the county, but it counted one from out of the county, so it was back down at four.

Whitley and Noble Counties have also had one more confirmed case, bringing both of those counties up to three.
