White Christmas Chances Dwindling

While a white Christmas was looking favorable last week, and we have some of the white stuff out there this morning, a shift in forecast has changed that to looking not so favorable.

The Climate Prediction Center says over the next six to ten days, there is a greater than 50 percent chance that temperatures will be above normal and a greater than 40 percent chance that it will be drier than normal. Model trends are also keeping things relatively dry during the time leading up to Christmas Day.

A shift in our overnight system also took most of the snow with it as the most significant accumulations of snow are expected to stay well off to our south in Indianapolis and surrounding areas of central Indiana.
