A house fire in Whitley County is under investigation. The blaze broke out Monday afternoon near the intersection of State Road 9 and CR 50 East. No one was home at the time. Firefighters were able to rescue a turtle from inside the house. A dog in a kennel outside the home had to be moved away from the smoke. A cat and a duck are also said to be okay. It's not yet known how the fire started.
