A woman has been accused of stealing two checks from her father and forging his name on them.

In April the victim reported that a pair of checks associated with two closed accounts at the same bank had been stolen. That bank notified him someone attempted to cash the checks, made out to Jennifer Scott, for a total of 900 dollars. Scott’s own bank account showed matching deposits for 400 and 500 dollars.

The victim told the police that he owns the home associated with her bank account and he allows her to live there. ABC 57 reports that she’s been charged with one count each of theft and forgery.
