Woody, Dehart To Appeal Double Murder Convictions

Two men recently convicted of a double murder have filed their notice to appeal. Brandon Woody and Kyle Dehart were convicted Oct. 7 of killing Tara Thornburg and Joshua Knisley in February of 2015 in Syracuse.

The Indiana Court of Appeals will decide on the appeal. No timetable has been set while Woody and Dehart are incarcerated in the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill. Woody was sentenced to 120 years and Dehart was sentenced to 110 years. The appeals seek to challenge the convictions of the men. A third man believed to be involved in the killings, Thomas Hursey, is scheduled for a plea hearing in December.
