WRSW’s Riley Radio Days raises over $81k for KC Riley Kids Fund

This year’s two-day radiothon fundraiser for the KC Riley Kids Fund is over, and the grand total has been announced.

$81,927.37 was raised during the 2018 Riley Radio Days on 107.3 WRSW. That tops last year’s total of over $70,000.

Co-founders of the KC Riley Kids Fund Alan Alderfer and Mike Bergen started the fund to help Kosciusko County families who have children receiving treatment at Riley Children’s Hospital.

In addition to money for the hospital itself, the fund is also used to help locals with gas, food, and lodging while their child is in Riley’s care.

This year’s Riley Radio Days featured testimonials from over 10 local families whose lives have been impacted by Riley Children’s Hospital.

The fundraising event on 107.3 WRSW was sponsored by Cottage Watchman EF Rhodes as well as ONE Ortho Northeast, Tenney & Sons Inc., Furniture Factory Outlet, Lakeside Chevrolet, Monteith’s Best One Tire & Auto Care, Teresa Bakehorn at Our House Real Estate, American Mortgage Fort Wayne, Reinholt’s Town Square Furniture, Warsaw Engineering & Fabricating, Beacon Credit Union Warsaw, Lake City Motors, Mentone Feed & Grain, R&B Car Company and State Farm Insurance Agent Justin Phillips.
