Two additional Republicans have filed for the May primary election with the Kosciusko County Clerk’s Office as of Friday.
Incumbent Michael Kissinger, North Webster, is seeking re-election to the office of county surveyor.
Rhonda J. Helser, Warsaw, threw her name in as the county treasurer. Current treasurer is Sue Ann Mitchell.
As announced earlier this week, Mitchell, Warsaw, is seeking a council at-large position, along with fellow Republicans Robert G. “Bob” Sanders, Warsaw, and Tressa Nichols, North Webster. Sanders is the only incumbent of the three.
Others who have filed for county-level positions include Ann M. Torpy, Mentone, clerk of circuit court; Ronald D. Truex, Warsaw, middle district commissioner; and Brad Jackson, Syracuse, northern district commissioner.
Filing deadline for the May primary ends Feb. 5. No Democrats have filed yet.
