Warsaw Man Faces Charges After Alleged Inappropriate Touching Of Young Girl

A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly inappropriately touching a girl.

Andrew David Alcala, 34, of 1630 Lilac Lane, Warsaw, is charged with child molesting, a Level 4 felony; and sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony.

He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday with a $15,250 preliminary bond.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Tuesday the Warsaw Police Department received a report of child molestation. The victim reported Alcala had touched her inappropriately between the ages of 13 and 16.

A WPD officer spoke to the victim who said on multiple occasions, Alcala touched her in her groin area underneath her clothing. She reported it happened two or three times when she was 13 and two or three times when she was 14. She also said she believed Alcala inappropriately touched her once when she was 16.

The officer spoke to Alcala. He allegedly admitted on two occasions while tickling the victim that his hand went inside the victim’s clothing and touched her groin area. He said those incidents were not intentional and occurred while playing with the victim when she was 15 or 16. He said he felt the victim was attractive during the time range when the victim was 16 and 17, according to court documents.
