Victim’s Name Released From Yesterday’s Fatal Crash

Kosciusko County officials are currently investigating a  traffic fatality that occurred yesterday afternoon, claiming the life of a Warsaw woman. Emergency crews responded  to the intersection of U.S. 30 & County Road 350 West in regards to a reported vehicular crash.  78 year old Barbara J. Wagner of Warsaw was located inside her 2007 Ford Escape, and was pronounced dead by Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson.

Wilson stated that Wagner died of blunt force injuries she received as a result of the crash. Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. team members stated that a preliminary investigation into the crash has determined that Wagner had been traveling southbound on County Road 350 West and had initially stopped at the intersection, according to witness statements.  She suddenly proceeded directly into the path of a westbound 1997 Ford F250 pickup truck driven by 16 year old Matthew W. Roeder of Plymouth.  Roeder was not injured in the crash, nor was his passenger.
