Combined Community Services is looking for donations for its upcoming Tools for School event.

Each year the non-profit provides essential school supplies for K through 12 students at the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds.

They still need items like book bags, pencils, pens, lined paper, notebooks, folders, glue, and rulers.

Volunteer event organizer Ami Pitt says monetary donations also help.

“Money really does get stretched farther because CCS is tax-free, so when they go shopping for the articles, they can stretch the dollar just a little bit farther.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Combined Community Services building on Mariners Drive throughout the month ahead of Tools for School on July 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
