Absentee Ballot Ommission Addressed

A contested race was left off the absentee ballot for voters in Warsaw Ward 2 Precinct 2, but it was discovered and addressed Saturday.
The race omitted from the ballot was for precinct committeemen.
No other precincts were affected, according to Ann Torpy, clerk of the Kosciusko Circuit and Superior Courts.
“All absentee voters were contacted and told to come in to revote,” an employee in the Kosciusko Clerk of Circuit and Superior Courts office stated early this morning. Torpy later confirmed everything was fixed and all voters have been called to recast their ballots.
Only 12 people had voted absentee in the precinct up to the time the mishap was discovered Saturday.
Those dozen people had until noon today to vote at the clerk’s office or can vote at their polling location Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A precinct committeeman candidate reported to the Times-Union Saturday that the race didn’t appear on his ballot when he voted absentee Saturday at Warsaw city hall.
His daughter didn’t see his name on the ballot either so she didn’t finish her vote. She was called back later and told the issue was fixed and she could come in to vote.
