Four in custody in downtown Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne Police say there was not an active shooter, despite making multiple arrests near the area where there was multiple reports of shots fired.

A fourth person is detained after reports of an active shooter in downtown Fort Wayne.

Police have taken three people out of a home on E. Berry, according to ABC 21.

It is unclear at this time if any of the people detained actually fired the shots. Meanwhile police remain at the residence with a full perimeter around the home.

It’s also unclear at this time whether this is the active shooter from 900 E. Washington Blvd.

Police have taken a guy out of the home on E. Berry, according to ABC 21.

The suspect is a black male wearing a white hoodie.

Someone has now barricaded himself in a home on 800 E. Berry. It is unclear at this time whether it is the reported active shooter, according to ABC 21.
