Annual Right To Life Banquet Scheduled For Sept. 12

Brooke Martin

Right to Life of North Central Indiana’s annual Legacy of Life banquet is scheduled for Sept. 12 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capitol Center on the campus of Grace College & Seminary.

The event’s keynote speaker is Brooke Martin, an Emmy-winning anchor and reporter. Shortly after announcing her second pregnancy on air, Brooke and her husband received a fatal diagnosis for their daughter, Emma Noelle. For eight months, Brooke carried their daughter while publicly walking through grief and ultimately loss.

Her story is one of God’s grace during difficult times and the value of all human life no matter how short it is, according to a news release from Right to Life of North Central Indiana. Brooke is now working to show others how life’s fires have the ability to bring new growth, greater beauty and everlasting hope, according to the release.

The evening will include emcee Dr. Drew Flamm, president of Grace College & Seminary, and an update on pro-life efforts in North Central Indiana.

Executive Director Dave Koontz said, “With the changes taking place after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the banquet is a great opportunity to build awareness for new challenges and raise the funds that will be used throughout the year to encourage the protection of all human life.”
