Arrangements announced for state trooper killed Friday in Auburn

AUBURN — Funeral services have been announced for Indiana State Police Master Trooper James Bailey who died Friday near Auburn in the line of duty.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Garrett High School in Garrett.

Calling hours will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at County Line Church of God in Auburn.

Bailey was struck by a car that was fleeing police as he tried to deploy stop sticks on I-69. 

He was 50 years old and leaves behind a wife, son and daughter.
