Attorney Generals Suing Four Cancer Charities For Fraud

Attorneys General from all 50 states, including Indiana's Greg Zoeller, are suing four cancer charities for fraud after they collected millions in donations. The suit claims the Cancer Fund of America, Children's Cancer Fund of America, Cancer Support Services, and the Breast Cancer Society operated as charities and collected more than $187 million dollars. The organizations claimed to provide support for cancer patients, but an investigation uncovered waste and misuse, including high salaries, trips and hiring family members and friends. Zoeller says resources are available to consumers on charities. He encourages Hoosiers to investigate fundraising activity before donating.
