Blood Tests Show Signs Of Cocaine From Driver Of Bus In Deadly Crash

Blood tests completed show signs of cocaine use by the driver of a church bus that overturned near Indianapolis in July, killing a 6-year-old boy and injuring 11 other people. With that, 53-year-old Charles Goodman has been charged with causing death when driving while intoxicated by a controlled substance. Goodman was driving a group from Gary's St. Jude Family Worship Center to a religious convention in Ohio when the crash happened on I-70. Investigators suspected Goodman was intoxicated because a passenger said he seemed unfocused while driving. Goodman also faces charges of reckless homicide and driving with a suspended license. He blamed the crash on mechanical problems.
