Carol “Elaine” Nine, 79, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Goshen Hospital, Goshen Indiana.
Born on July 27, 1942, in Pierceton, Indiana, Elaine was the daughter of Floyd and Bertha (Maguire) Atchison. She was united in marriage to Robert Nine Sr. on August 17, 1957, in Elkhart, Indiana who passed away in 1987.
She worked at Holiday Bowling Lanes in Warsaw for 30 years. Elaine was a member of the Warsaw Eagles, Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary.
Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her “Guardian Angel” Roy Norman of Warsaw, daughter, Coleen (William) Blair, Warsaw; 4 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, brother Don Atchinson Jr, and sister Janice Robinson of Elkhart. In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by a daughter Christine Ann Simons, two sons, Ray Owen Nine and Robert Nine Jr, one grandson Michael Blair, and 10 brothers and sisters.
A visitation is planned from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday May 26, 2022 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service in celebration of her will be held Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Pastor Ken Locke will lead the services. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
