Change Of Venue Hearing Postponed For Woody, Dehart

Hearings for the change of venue for both Brandon Woody, 22, and Kyle Dehart, 22, from a burglary resulting in bodily injury and battery by means of a deadly weapon incident in April 2013, have been continued to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 31. It is anticipated that Dehart’s attorney, Scott Smith, will file a motion to separate the defendants in this burglary and battery case. Dehart and Woody also have been charged for the murders of Joshua Knisley, 19, and Tara Thornburg, 23, on Feb. 19. Woody’s attorney, Scott Lennox, said a pretrial for the murder charge is set for Monday at 3 p.m. He also filed a motion for a change of venue in this murder case. Lennox said he wants Circuit Court Judge Michael W. Reed to make a decision for the change of venue motion in the murder case before Superior Court 1 Judge David Cates decides on the change of venue motion in the burglary and battery case.
