The town of Claypool is eliminating the deputy marshal’s position so it can hire a full-time utility and
street worker.

The Times Union says the decision was made at Tuesday’s town council meeting. The
council also voted to raise the number of part-time reserve officers from four to six to fill some of the
work that would be lost by getting rid of the deputy marshal.
