Snow by Halloween? It’s certainly possible.

The Climate Prediction Center is calling for temperatures to be well below normal a week from now, where afternoon highs will struggle to get out of the 40s with overnight lows getting down into the 20s, which could bring about the first hard freeze of the season.

Don’t worry though, accumulating snow is not expected. But don’t be surprised to see those first flurries during the overnight hours Wednesday night into early morning Thursday of next week.

Below normal temperatures are expected to stay around through the first full week of November.
