Community asked to write support notes on framework of home being built for Veteran

The foundation and studs are up on the mortgage-free home being built for a U.S. Army Veteran.

Operation FINALLY HOME has partnered with R.W. Kidd and the Builders Association of Kosciusko Fulton Counties to build the home for U.S. Army SSG Justin Raymer, who served for more than 13 years, including three deployments in Iraq.

The groundbreaking for the home was held March 4, but before they put up the drywall in the home for the Raymer family, the organizations are inviting the public to get involved. The idea is to write words of encouragement and support on the studs of the home before it is finished.

Those who want to participate are invited to the home Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Shadow Lakes, 2613 E Ontario Lane, in Warsaw. Those unable to attend Saturday can stop by the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce before the event to write a note to be placed in the home.

U.S. Army SSG Justin Raymer and his family will walk through the framing of the home and read the notes immediately after Saturday’s event.
