Republican Congressman Jim Banks is throwing his support behind Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer’s re-election campaign.
Banks says he worked with Thallemer while he was a state senator and more recently as Congressman.
“I have learned that good government begins with electing good leaders. People with experience, integrity and commitment make the best leaders,” Banks explains. “For eight years as your mayor, Joe Thallemer has led Warsaw with distinction. I am proud to endorse his candidacy for re-election.”
Mayor Thallemer says he is appreciative of the commitment Jim Banks has shown to our community.
“I am honored by Congressman Banks endorsement of my mayoral candidacy. His dedication to the citizens of Warsaw and Kosciusko County is evidence of his strong commitment to public service and it is an honor to have his support,” Thallemer said.
The endorsement comes ahead of the May 7 primary in which Thallemer faces Councilman Ron Shoemaker.
Voting for all Warsaw precincts will be at Center Lake Pavilion. Early voting is currently available at the Kosciusko County Justice Building.
